APC; ACN and The Yoruba Ideology

With reference to the prevailing actualities and realities, the Action Congress of Nigeria are apparently the biggest casualty in this political matrimony that cummulated into what has been rebased and rebrandedly known as the All Progressive Congress.

The alliance to topple the central power of the PDP by the connubiality of these splinter groups seems very less likely to maintain that convinceable freshness we earlier savoured down to the forseable future or probably as far as 2015 will be.

Judging by the obvious rise --in decline in field popularity which is better explained by the mass porting of party loyalist to the oppositions that has recently manifested, prominently in Ogun and Edo state, it wouldn't be so wrong to assert the impending doom to terminally end the big-boism of the APC is systematically lurking.

The ACN before her political mutuality with the CPC and ANPP were apparently the song and delight of the Southwest. From Lagos to Oyo; Ogun to Ekiti and Edo, the pan-Yoruba idealism was rampant. Everyone were willing to try the latest option as Gov Fashola and his towering revelation in Lagos elevated into a veritable tool for convincing the rational mind. Who wouldn't want try this mesmerising alternative. Meanwhile that particular ACN "broom" symbol which was adopted in the APC consortium is culturally popular with the Yorubas. In other ethnicity there are brooms however, that particular dwarf bulky broom is more or less of Southern peculiarity which invariable looks kinda strange in the waving grip of Buhari or El-rufai.

The idea of APC was most likely an alarmist ideology. It arrived questionably and too porous --littered with cynicism for the literal understanding of the majorly skeptical Yorubas. This by extension as I opine earlier would live to cost the ACN it hard earned reputation in the Southwest.
